I stayed there 3 nights, I am going to say summer of 2008 before I moved to Vegas the following year. And choice hotel rewards made it freeīefore I built up points to stay elsewhere. Oh man! Clarion? That's where this is at? Almost anything is better than what that area has been. I have a hard time believing the Treasure Island guy bought Circus Circus to keep it as is. I guess that fits in a bit with long awaited plans to improve that north end, but I still say, the north end revitalization doesn't REALLY happen until until 'big blue' comes down and maybe something happens with Circus Circus. Directly across on the west side will be the new Resorts World. So 2 blocks out to the strip, I would say technically 1 block, but at that particular point of the strip, not much there on the east side. Convention center attendees and show people aren't looking to stay at the highest end hotel, right across the street. So you wouldn't think that a particularly good fit. And the entire north side of convention center drive now consists of the new convention center expansion. I think that little Italian restaurant that was a mob hangout back in the day is right next door. For those of you from old Las Vegas days that was the Debbie Reynolds owned casino, whatever it was called way back then.

Just to be clear, the site is on convention center drive, where the Clarion was imploded a few years back.
